Test Stations “Energomera” are used to organize and to control underground metalic parts of constructions and facilities with soil corrosion impact together with the electrochemical cathodic protection system. KIPs are mounted on measurement, connecting and troubleshooting points in cathodic protection system. This equipment is an integral part of the electrochemical protection system and securely controls the indicators of the cathodic protection, as well as ensures timely changes in the parameters of the current supplied to the protected elements.

Features and Specifications

• KIP “Energomera” is a switching board placed on a special post. The board has switching panels which control and switch power terminals. Device material protects the equipment from mechanical impacts and atmospheric precipitations.
• Operating ambient temperature range is from -50°С to +60°С.
• Power and measurement cables are connected to the protected part and other elements of cathodic protection system with special safe clamps.
• The roof of the point has bright color, and the delivery package also includes route sign to mark KIP to identify it from the air.

Equipment Maintenance

• It is necessary to read the device Datasheet and Safety Instruction prior the equipment start-up.
• The equipment is mounted vertically in the soil with the maximum deviation 2°.
• Power and measurement cables are connected with KIP “Energomera” right after it is mounted in the soil.
• If the project requires so, power and measurement cables of cathodic protection system can additionally be commutated with lead wires supplied together with KIP set.
• It is necessary to maintain and to control the quality of power and measurement cable terminal connections at least once in 6 months of operation.
